Reduce

The first step on the waste ladder is about reducing the cause of waste

A lot of things are bought and then just thrown away. much of what we buy is not made to reuse or recycle. Waste occurs during manufacturing of the product, when it is packaged and when it is thrown away. We need to reduce our consumption.

Reuse

The second step to reduce waste is to reuse the things we already have

Reusinging can be done by eg. donation, renting, selling or buying things second hand. This means that things can be used over and over again, either by yourself or by someone else, without having to buy new ones.

Recycle

The third step is about material recycling

Recycling is the process where disposed items are separated, collected, and processed to manufacture an entirely new product. Recycling is preferred when waste can’t be reused. Glass bottles, metal cans, paper, certain plastics and newspapers are materials that we recycle today.

The winner in the ‘Packaging Materials and Components’ category. The panel’s reasoning:

"LipLid is a winner because it is a better, safer and more enjoyable way to drink ‘on the go’.

Barista Trainer- Luca

Swedish Design

At Liplid, we believe life is lighter when it’s simple. Inspired by Swedish traditions, we design with balance, clarity, and care at heart.

Guided by lagom, we create with “just the right amount.” From döstädning, we embrace letting go of what doesn’t serve us, making space for what truly matters. And with the spirit of städdag, we honor the joy of caring for the spaces we share.

The result is design that feels natural, functional, and beautifully minimal  products that help you live more fully, with less.

Liplid is not just design. It’s a way of living with intention, balance, and connection.

Why Choose Liplid?

Recycle

The lids are made from 100% recyclable materials, cellulose fibers from pine and spruce or from bamboo or bagasse fibers. No plastic is added.

Manufacturing

The manufacturing of Liplid requires 25% less materials than other lids due to its uniques design and thereby using a more environmentally friendly manufacturing process.

Stabilizing

Design

The new and revolutionary design gives a stabilizing effect to the coffee cup itself while maintaining its own physical properties exposed to hot coffee/water.

Material Used

The lids are made of either a mixture of bamboo and bagasse or from pure wood fibers. In both cases the lids are 100% plastic free.

Makes it easy to drink on the go

The lids stabilizes the cup, making it firmer to grip and eliminates the risk of it tipping over or the lid coming off.

Liplid sets a new standard for cup lids adapted to all types of cups intended for serving both hot and cold drinks.
