Hand holding brown cup, white lid grass

We want to bring the world

a whole new

drinking experience.

A simple, yet so smart solution

How did it all start?

The idea behind Liplid was born when the two inventors, Håkan Löfholm and Lars Bendix, back in 2016 got together over lunch. They had both expereinced spilling coffee and burning themselves while drinking on the go. So when they came up with the idea of drinking directly from the cup, that quickly became the core of their vision.

Håkan took on the responsibility for the patents and investors, while Lars remained at the drawing board designing. Everything suddenly accelerated, and Liplid was officially born.

Over the following years, they worked intensly to develop the lid in various shapes and models. At the same time, the world became more aware of the increasing problem of single-use plastic, and in collaboration with RICE in Stockholm, they decided to explore more environmentally friendly alternatives. This opened the doors to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which became a central part of Liplid's future focus.

It all began with a simple idea and a lunch in Stockholm, but it has evolved into a story of determination, creativity, and passion to make a positive difference in the world.
